Hi there Reader!

I want to guide all of those who are not only new to Cosplay Token, but new to cryptocurrency in general, through some of the Cosplay Token (COT) Whitepaper V1.7.

This post is specifically about the COT Glossary – but first let me share with you what a Whitepaper even is!

As per the Wikipedia definition: “A white paper is an authoritative report or guide that informs readers concisely about a complex issue and presents the issuing body’s philosophy on the matter. It is meant to help readers understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision.”

This is a very popular term in cryptocurrency right now and all substantial crypto projects have a Whitepaper. COT have added terminology relevant to their project into their Whitepaper V1.7 glossary section, which reads as follows:

Anime: a style of hand-drawn animation used in Japanese film and television. This has become such a MASSIVE entertainment form of its own among geeks across the globe! It is also a very popular and strong cosplay genre.

Manga: a style of Japanese comic books and graphic novels. Read from right to left unlike Western reading style!

Otaku: a Japanese term for people with obsessive interests, commonly towards anime and manga fandoms. This was apparently seen as a derogatory term which has become a term similar to ‘nerd’ or ‘geek’ – something we honestly find REALLY COOL nowadays!

Ticker: a short combination of letters historically used to represent stocks, now also adopted by cryptocurrencies.

COT: the ticker for Cure WorldCosplay’s Cosplay Token.

Blockchain: a digital ledger in which transactions made in bitcoin or another cryptocurrency are recorded chronologically and publicly. How’s that for transprency!

Cryptocurrency: a digital currency that is regulated by blockchain technology, and operates independently of a central bank.

ERC20: the technical standard used for smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.

Ethereum: an open-source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and operating system featuring smart contract (scripting) functionality. COT makes use of this platform & I made a blog post about how YOU can make your own Ether Wallet if you don’t already have one!

ICO: Initial Coin Offering, also used to refer to Initial Token Offerings.

Marketcap: the total market value of all of a company’s outstanding shares.

Players: artists on Cure WorldCosplay such as cosplayers, photographers, and prop makers.

Player Coin: a personalised, individual smart token issued by the Cure Protocol. I am SO excited to have my own COT token & it will be integrated into my cosplay work in the future!

Smart Contracts: a computer protocol intended to digitally facilitate, verify, or enforce the negotiation or performance of a contract.

Smart Token: token that has further logic in place allowing it to be dynamically minted among other benefits.

SNS: Social Networking Service.

TGE: Token Generation Event.

The Bancor Protocol: an open-source standard for smart tokens. Thank you Bancor for helping COT!

The Cure Protocol: Cure WorldCosplay’s integrated protocol for the creation of Player Coins.

Users: viewers, information suppliers, fans and corporations on Cure WorldCosplay – all of whom can benefit from COT!

So that’s the glossary on the COT Whitepaper with some elaboration from me. I hope you learned a thing or two! Please don’t hesitate to comment with any questions 🙂

Look out for my next COT posts & be sure to visit the AWESOME COT website here! Thank you Cure World Cosplay for looking after us with Cosplay Token!

Much Love,

KK~
